Here’s a joke for you:

What did one bell say to the other bell? You’re a real DINGALING.

Haha spelled out using scrabble tiles.

That’s the joke that I just overheard from a patron at the Broadmoor Library.

The chair situation at my AirBnB continues to be a literal pain in my ass, so today I am checking out one of the libraries that I think is near to my AirBnB.

Last week I bought a portable monitor that I’ll bring with me when I come back tomorrow.

Right now, I just came here for a little bit to check out the areas where I could work comfortable and quietly. I wish there was a tea bar in here, but otherwise, it’s a quiet and comfortable place, with several places to spread out and lock in on some work. I have a due date tomorrow and need to catch up on work for the rest of the week.

Today, I am off work because I took my mom to have an outpatient medical procedure this morning. I am happy to report that she is back home resting and received a perfect bill of health.

The rest of the day will likely be pretty lowkey. I don’t have any plans for the day because I didn’t know how long my mom would need my help with aftercare.

I went to Waffle House after dropping her off at home because she had told the anesthesiologist in no uncertain terms: I WANT SOME GRITS WHEN THIS IS DONE!

Mom has her grits and I have a quiet place to chill out for a bit. Life is good.

  • My First Week in Denver

I have officially been in Denver, CO for a week! It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster to get here, but I am glad that I did. When I left Shreveport 8 days ago, I was a ball of nerves. I had to leave behind almost all of my toiletries and cleaning supplies in…
