3 Ingredient Smoothie to Reduce Estrogen

I am currently suffering from painful and heavy periods thanks to fibroids and adenomyosis. I talked about my condition and the symptoms in this YouTube video:

As part of my efforts to find relief naturally, I am working to reduce the excessive estrogen levels in my body, since adenomyosis tissue is very sensitive to estrogen.

This smoothie contains kale, blueberries, and oatmilk.

KALE

Kale is a cruciferous vegetable. Cruciferous vegetables help reduce excessive estrogen in the body. Consuming lots of vegetables also helps to diversify your gut biome, which is an overall excellent strategy for improving your general health. Kale also has LOTS of fiber, to help your body work properly and stimulate pooping (helping to alleviate constipation, which is a symptom of adenomyosis, too!)

BLUEBERRIES

Blueberries are also high in fiber and anti-oxidants and low in sugar. I add them to my smoothie to improve the taste.

OAT MILK

I am continuing to move away from dairy consumption as much as possible. Oat milk is dairy free and is a little sweet, also used to improve the flavor of the smoothie.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of oatmilk
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 2-3 cups kale
  • 2 ounces of water (optional, as needed)

DIRECTIONS FOR THE SMOOTHIE:

  • Put all of the liquid into the bottom of a high-power blender
  • Add the kale.
  • Add the blueberries.
  • Blend until thoroughly combined (add more water to thin the smoothie, if desired)

Enjoy
